Old Fashioned Tobacco Cayenne Pain Salve
Heat, strength and deep relief. This old-fashioned salve blends organic tobacco, organic cayenne pepper, and Russian olive leaf (from Leah's trees) to soothe--all folded into rich tallow and honeyed beeswax.
Not habit forming. Topical use of tobacco is an old folk remedy for pain. It reduces localized inflammation, relaxes tight or spasming muscles, draws out tension, soreness and "stuck" energy. It also increases circulation to the area.
Cayenne is great at overwhelming nerve endings that are causing pain and clearing the signal to the brain.
Although not native to the Great Basin, Russian Olive trees are often planted as nitrogen fixers and thrive in the high desert. The species has been studied by researchers for its anti-inflammatory effects as well as soothing of joint and connective tissue pain.
Instructions: rub a small amount of salve on sore muscles and joints. Repeat as needed. For use on intact skin.
