One of my top five go-to herbs, yarrow is extremely handy for wound healing, digestion, and menstrual health.  In a spiritual sense, yarrow symbolizes courage and protection.

Lore:  Yarrow's lore is rich and strong.  Her latin name (Achillea millefolium) comes from Achilles, according to legend, used it to treat the wounds of his soldiers during the Trojan War.  An old name of yarrow was Soldier's Wound Wort.

In Celtic and Druid tradition, yarrow was used for divination, protection and love spells.  In European folklore, yarrow was hung in doorways to keep out negative spirits and illness.  It was used in old world remedies for fever, wounds, and digestive issues.  As a styptic, yarrow was commonly used to stop minor bleeding.

Dose calculations are different for each person.  General instructions:  start slow.  Use one or two drops in a glass of water to see how your body reacts.  Take your own life experience into account.  Are you sensitive to substances as a common experience?  How does your body tell you? Are you generally able to tolerate most any thing pretty well?

A common dosage for this tinture would be 1-2 dropperfuls (20-30 drops) 2-3 times a day.

For wounds, dilute with pure water.

Ingredients:  Achillea millefolium infused vodka
